Over the past two years, we have been part of the European ICT-Agrifood project HALY.ID – HALYomorpha halys IDentification: Innovative ICT tools for targeted monitoring and sustainable management of the brown marmorated stink bug and other pests.
As part of this research, we explored the potential of near-infrared hyperspectral imaging to detect feeding damage caused by Halyomorpha halys on pears, opening new perspectives for the early, non-invasive monitoring of pest damage.
